Primarily Nike had produced this bran for the former basketball professional player Michael Jordan.
Air Jordan I sneakers was initially produced in 1984, specifically for Michael Jordan. But later in the same year 1984, these shoes were made available for the general public as well.
Peter Moore, Bruce Kilgore, and Tinker Hatfield are the guys who had designed these Air Jordan shoes for Nike company.
Basically, this brand Air Jordan is currently sponsoring over 21 active players of NBA. That includes Chris Paul, Jimmy Butler, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard and the Carmelo Anthony.
Produced in 1984 for Michael Jordan, the great Basketball player in history. There is a noticeable rumor in the global market that Air Jordan 1 was banned, but it is wrong, as what was banned was just the Nike Air Ship, but not the whole brand.
In 1986 the success for results of Air Jordan 1 heartened the Nike team to take this product to the next level by introducing Air Jordan II. This time, Bruce Kilgore and Peter Moore had designed this new Air Jordan II shoe brand.
Tinker Hatfield had designed this model Air Jordan III. Tinker is basically Nike’s designer working for them for stores and offices designated work.
The stunning part of this release of Air Jordan III was that Michael Jordan had planned that he’ll leave Nike now, but once he saw this Air Jordan III design, well he changed his mind. That is why Michael Jordan wore these Air Jordan III shoes in 1988 NBA contest. He also wore them on other occasions as well, while he was a basketball player.
Tinker Hatfield did it again. He designed this new model Air Jordan IV in 1989. That was the first time when Nike actually released it directly for the international market.
Before this release, in the past, Nike was designed for the players first and then for the public. But now, Air Jordan IV was released in the global market directly.
1990, the Air Jordan V release year and once again the great designer Tinker Hatfield took the crown for designing this fabulous Nike shoe. Basically, Tinker had made some of the ideas from its previous version of Air Jordan IV, but still, it was a great design.
Tinker said that he took the idea of Air Jordan V design from the fighter planes of World War II.
In 1991 Tinker designed Air Jordan VI, and Nike released it. This design came in 5 different original color combinations: White/Infrared, Black/Infrared, White/ Sports Blue, White/Carmine-Black and the Off-White/Maroon.
In this model of Air Jordan Shoes, Nike introduced new strong support around the toe of Air Jordan VI. These pair of shoes also had the Rubber soles, just like Air Jordan V.
Tinker Hatfield is a marvelous shoe designer now. He designed this Air Jordan VII shoe in 1992, for Nike Company. With the help of Huarache Technology, this model of Air Jordan Shoe helped to give more comfort to the player’s feet.
Michael Jordan had worn these Air Jordan VI shoes in 1992 Olympics at Barcelona.
The Air Jordan VIII model was mainly released in 1993. This model was quite heavy for feet, as compared to its predecessors. The good thing about this model Air Jordan VIII was that it was very ankle friendly along with boosted traction.
Further to this, Air Jordan VIII had a polyurethane midsole, full-length air sole and polycarbonate shank plate along with a couple of crossover straps for more comfortable fit.
This model “Air Jordan IX” was released in late 1993 (November most probably). This model was released after the retirement of Michael Jordan. That is the reason, Michael had never worn these shoes for playing basketball in NBA season.
Two years after the release of Air Jordan IX, Nike released this Air Jordan X model in 1995. It was produced in 8 different colors with a beautiful and relaxing lightweight Phylon midsole.
After this model, still, Nike kept into producing new models of Air Jordans shoes, with the gap of a few years, like its predecessor Air Jordan Shoe Models. But still, the one that is most loved the model of Air Jordan Shoe is Air Jordan I.
